Is crucial to bet on the health and well-being of children and adolescents. Active commuting is a key factor in the sustainable development goals of the cities and their inhabitants. Two of GIS4tech founder partners, Sergio Campos and Francisco Abarca co developed an investigation to examine the association between the environmental factors of the school neighborhood (density of residents, connectivity of streets and land use) and the home-school journey of urban areas (distance and directionality of the pedestrian route). All of this was assessed by a self-report questionnaire, measured using geographic information systems and analyzed through the use of Binary Logistic Regression.
